Professor Hao Wang

Professor Hao Wang is Distinguished Professor of Composite Materials and Director of the Centre for Sustainable Infrastructure and Digital Construction at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. His research spans carbon fibre composites, plastics recycling, modern methods of constructure, and 3D concrete printing. With nearly 40 years of research experience, he has published more than 500 journal articles, attracting over 57,500 citations and achieving an h-index of 118. He is recognised as a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher. Professor Wang is currently Editor-in-Chief of Safety Science and Technology and previously served as Editor-in-Chief of Composites Part B: Engineering from 2018 to 2025, where he played a major role in strengthening the journal’s global standing. His work closely aligns with ICAN 2027 themes, including polymer composites, advanced manufacturing, sustainable materials and next-generation engineering applications.
