Professor Anton Middelberg is Deputy Vice Chancellor – Research and Innovation at Adelaide University. He is an internationally recognised research and thought leader in chemical and biomolecular engineering, with research addressing major challenges in health and advanced biomanufacturing.

Professor Middelberg has researched, patented and licensed technologies in rapid vaccine scale-up, soft condensed matter and bio-nanotechnology, including cancer immunotherapy. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering and the US National Academy of Inventors. His leadership spans research strategy, innovation, commercialisation and the translation of fundamental discoveries into practical benefits for industry and society.
