Advanced Composites and Hybrid Materials journal

Journal Overview

Advanced Composites and Hybrid Materials is a fully open-access, single-blind peer-reviewed journal serving researchers and professionals in materials science, engineering, chemistry, biology and physics. The journal is led by Editor-in-Chief Professor Tony McNally and is ranked in the first quartile (Q1) in SCIE (Web of Science), with an Impact Factor of 15.5.

Aims & Scope

The journal publishes research on the design, modelling, manufacture and application of composites and, in particular, nanocomposites. Its scope includes polymer-, metal- and ceramic-matrix composites, with a particular emphasis on filler–matrix relationships, interface engineering, composition and structure control, and the design of material properties.

Research Topics

Topics covered include surface and interface science, nanocomposite assembly, porous and high-density composites, transport and thermoelectric properties, materials synergy, electronic structure design and device fabrication.

The journal also welcomes related modelling and simulation studies, as well as reviews and meta-analyses on materials selection. Areas of interest include atomic- and molecular-level engineering, self-assembly, biomimetic synthesis and stimuli-responsive materials.
